Winter Window Woes

Over time we all begin to show a little wear and tear.  It’s only natural that every day exposure to the elements will slowly break down our sturdy exteriors.  Then it stands to reason that our homes suffer the same wear and tear; it is just as easy to let it go unnoticed day after day and week after week… until years have gone by and we find that our homes are in serious disrepair.

Sometimes one of the most often worn, but clearly overlooked areas is our windows.  We often pay little attention to our windows detailing, seams, seals, opening mechanisms and such partly because our trusty windows are hidden behind blinds, shutters and curtains or just walked past day to day without so much as a second glance.

But this latest wave of winter weather may have highlighted a few drafty windows that we have conveniently forgotten about.  Or, even worse, our beloved home’s windows are past their expiration date.

Don’t let another winter come and go only to surprise us again when winter starts sneaking inside.  Instead, use this time to research beautiful, energy efficient replacement windows.

New windows can be done all at once or a few at a time. New windows will improve your home’s curb appeal, too.  New windows also will reduce your need for time consuming maintenance, leaving more time for doing things you really want to do.  Additionally, new windows will lower your utility bills and everyone loves that!

So now that you are pretty sure replacing windows is the right thing for your home, take a little time looking at all your design and material options.  Don’t worry about a lack of information or knowledge.  That is where we come in!
